Chaos Has Me Second Guessing Myself!

Kenny "3Skullz" here. This is actually the first time I have written anything on my own blog. I have relied on my former “project manager” Donovan, who moved on to bigger and better things, to write on here in the past, and my brother David to do so recently. Occasionally Rob Baer “MBG” from Spikeybits also writes articles for me. So I apologize in advance for my 5th grade writing skills.

Chaos has me Second Guessing Myself! That’s right, I have been worshiping the dark gods since 1999. I even have a huge 8 point star tattoo on my arm. Recently I have become known for daemons due to my performance with them over the last few GTs. Before that I was all about Nurgle marines. So much so that I had built a total of 7 different Death Guard armies. I recently built 2 super nasty daemon armies since 6th dropped. Though they both performed very well, I have decided to sell them both. I wont go into too much detail on my reasons why but lets just say “I go to way too many tournaments per year and don’t want to become known for net list building”. I have decided to start a new chaos army though. I will post my ideas and list thus far. I would love some feed back and advice.



Chaos Army:

For starters, I am dead set on Imperial Guard allies. I love the fluff for traitor legions. I plan on using the new GW cultist models for IG troops and the Mantic “zombie marines” as plague zombies.








As far as a competitive list goes I have decided that the blandness of the new chaos dex is pretty overwhelming. I will pick some units that are awesome to look at plus embody the efficiency of the dex, while doing my best to have a reasonable list. IMO the efficiency is locked into cheap scoring units, cheap fire power, and of course the hell drake. As far as my IG allies are concerned, I feel that manticores are almost required now, and vendettas are insanely good for their points.






Since I am going back to a Nurgle theme, my brother suggested “The Purge” The color scheme is much more striking than traditional Nurgle colors, and the fluff matches. The Purge, are Nurgle worshipers that feel the only way to truly worship Nurgle is through mass genocide of every living thing.

  1. It's a bit surprising to see you going to IG but I think it's a good choice for your allied detachment and fits into your Nurgle theme very well. It is exciting to see you do something different now.

    You might wanna check out the new Space Marine Legion book from Forgeworld - Horus Heresy, Betrayal. It's one of the best of rules I've seen for Space Marines in general. Except for the Primarchs there isn't really anything daemonic but they are some really bad ass units like Justearin terminators.

    It's great to see you writing in your blog - you came across very well. : )

Well, in 6th edition the hole of the template doesn't need to be over vehicles to hurt them....so D3 S10 ordinance/barrage templates landing on the battle field every turn is amazing, plus "barrage" ! casualties are removed from the center of the template for "closest" model requirements. Which means i can snipe special weapons. (160 points)

    As far as the vendetta goes, 3x twin linked lascannons and 2 heavy bolters for 140 points is ruthless. Its basically the best anti-flyer flyer in the game. and the ability to shove the platoon command squad in there with 4x melta guns as a scoring unit is huge.
